I am very excited about these sessions! I have received a lot of support and interest in this project. We have reserved some dates on the calendar for these creative, on-location sessions and anticipate them to book very quickly.
L A Z Y S U N D A Y S E S S I O N S - limited edition
The lazy sunday sessions are different than one of our regular sessions. The first notable difference is the session takes place in your own home and photographed entirely in your bed(room). The second is, lazy sunday sessions are more of a mini session – shorter session time and fewer images shown in your gallery. The concept is simple: a lazy morning at home with the just the kids or the whole family, everyone can be in their pj’s and the kids are snuggled into your bed. Messed up blankets and bedhead – the whole thing. The beauty of these sessions is they could be for almost any type of session. I would love to see some maternity, newborn, toddler and child sessions during these sessions. (How wonderful would Mommy & baby sessions be?!) The images we create would be different than many images you see in my portfolio currently – that’s the idea! Let’s create something new and wonderful.
Availability for these specific sessions is LIMITED. If the concept isn’t awesome enough, book your lazy sunday session before June 29th and the creative fee is extra awesome too – $125. Your session may take place at any point during 2010, but the session must be booked and secured with the creative fee on or before June 29th.

Please Note:
- The creative fee is due in full before JUNE 29th 2010 to secure your session spot.
- Contrary to the name, the lazy sunday sessions do not need to take place on a sunday. However, as a natural light photographer I do require all sessions take place during daylight hours. Your bed(room) **must** have a decent amount of natural light to ensure a successful session. If you aren’t sure about your light or space, please contact us to discuss further.
- The concept of the lazy sunday sessions is firm. If you do not wish to have your bed(room) photographed, than this may not be the session for you. We would still love to still hear from you and perhaps book a studio session!
- The images created will be different than many you see in my current portfolio. (IE. sleeping newborn curled and “posed”). When you contact us we will discuss further to see what session option is best for you.
- The creative fee does not include any prints or products from your session, these are purchased separately within your 7 day viewing/ordering period.
- If you live outside Red Deer or Ponoka, please contact us for an additional travel quote.

Hello friends,
I wanted to pop in and make a little post. I am currently hustling along in hopes of getting everything wrapped up before our big trip to Australia. I am so incredibly grateful to have been asked to come and speak at the Inspire Me 2010 workshop in Surfers Paradise. This trip will be quite the adventure for my little family of five! I am also very grateful to my clients who are being so patient with me during this time. Between trying to fit in my last sessions before I go and editing the ones that I can, in addition to trying to have my family packed and ready for this adventure – it’s been a crazy couple weeks to say the least. I have such love for each of you who are so supportive to me and my family. Crazy love.
In all the hustle, I have had the opportunity to reflect on a number of things both personal and business. I foresee some big (fantastic) changes coming to all aspects of my life in the very near future. I see evolution on the horizon. This is both scary and inspiring. Nothing worth while comes without challenge and risk – hope and desire – love and pure passion.
There is a lump in my throat and a fire under my butt. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Firstly, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I sort have dropped completely off the radar there for a little while and never said that! The darling wee baby boy above is telling my story — I am *wiped*! lol! So as hard as it will be for me to peel myself away (I adore my job), I will be taking my first break from work since having my baby girl back in September. (I say break loosely since I still have to finish up with about ten client sessions and I still have one more due date. LOL!!). I will be “out of the office” until January 6th and will begin returning all calls and emails at that time. I will be checking my messages from time to time though, so please feel free to leave me a message if you have had a baby – those messages I will return asap.
The new year is coming up so quick. I am so truly grateful for this past year. So many phenomenal, beautiful things have happened and I am now able to just sit back and smile. I have sooo many fantastic things on the go for 2010 that I am wicked excited for. Seriously – I could cry with happiness and excitement. It will be amazing.

I loves me some cupcakes!! If you haven’t been to Babycakes Cupcakery in Red Deer yet, than you are missing out! Trust me, don’t even think about it – just get in the car and GO! lol! Not only are the cupcakes fabulous, it is locally owned by two fantastic women – Diana Knapton and Andrea Fox. Babycakes just recently celebrated it’s first anniversary – the first of maaaany here in Red Deer.
If you get the chance to stop by, you will also catch a glimpse at a canvas display I have upon their vibrant walls. The canvas collection featured is a fabulous way to showcase session images. Canvas is without doubt, a definite client favorite for displaying their custom art.
Above is a couple quick snapshots of the display, but defintely go check it out in person! Get yourself a tasty treat from a fab local business and take in some featured art from local artists upon the walls! Sounds like a great afternoon to me 
** For those who have inquired, the vertical sizes are 16×24 and the horizontal is a 24×36. They are all wrapped canvas and hung without space between them. I love how it creates a checker board pattern to complement the flooring in the space. Custom photographic art is truly a beautiful design element in many modern homes and work spaces.

Hello Friends!
Although my days are quite busy, I am thrilled and excited to begin work on a few projects. Projects that I have specifically set aside time for in my schedule. To begin I will require some willing participants, so I am putting out a “casting call” to all local soon-to-be parents. I have plans to photograph both in studio and on location in the participants home (I will let you know which location we will use for your model call session). I will be choosing only a select number of participants to fit into my regular schedule.

I am looking for newborn babies (singleton or multiples) due anytime between now and the end of January. They must be under 12 days old at the time of our model call session.
Please know that the model call will be much different from a regular session with me. The session will be free of charge (no creative fee), but please note the main focus is to only capture specific images of baby – not a full custom gallery of images. It will be required that all participants sign a model release (as the images will most likely be used for teaching purposes, portfolio, display, industry competition, etc…). If you (or anyone you know in the Red Deer area) would like more information about what will be expected of participants and what you will receive in return as a thank you to the family, please give me an email (email only please).

Hello! Sorry I haven’t been around much. I have been super busy meeting some amazing, brand new babies and their fantastic families. I am also getting to the point where I will need to start getting ready for our new peanut to arrive. I have been so busy that I haven’t even thought about getting her new room ready, never mind finding the time to start! September is sneaking up fast too!
*Current Availability & Maternity Leave*
Session availability is *extremely limited* now, with only a single date left for a full session between now and when my babe arrives. I have also had an awesome response to the Pure & Simple mini sessions for July! I only have two spots left specifically for mini sessions so if you were holding off, don’t hold out much longer! (I may decide to make these mini sessions a regular event in the future, if the continued interest is there. If you would like to see mini sessions offered again, drop me a line and let me know!)
Now to answer a question I am being asked a lot – yes, after my baby arrives I do plan on taking *very limited* sessions dates! I have begun booking these limited dates starting October 2009 and beyond, so please do not wait. If you are in your second trimester or farther along and have decided that I am the photographer for you, please give me a shout. I anticipate the remainder of my 2009 schedule to continue to book very quickly. To avoid disappointment, I truly encourage you to secure your session early!

I am a mushy sap for the details of a newborn baby. Subtle details. The ones that a mother notices and stares in awe at when she looks at her new little wonder. The details that fade and change. The details you try so hard to remember so you can appreciate them again. I love those details. I capture those details because they fill my heart and make me happy.
