Hello Friends!
I just wanted to make a quick post reminding you that the deadline for the lazy sunday sessions is coming close! Monday June 28th is the last day to get in on the these limited sessions. Please check out this post here : LAZY SUNDAY for more information.

I am very excited about these sessions! I have received a lot of support and interest in this project. We have reserved some dates on the calendar for these creative, on-location sessions and anticipate them to book very quickly.
L A Z Y S U N D A Y S E S S I O N S - limited edition
The lazy sunday sessions are different than one of our regular sessions. The first notable difference is the session takes place in your own home and photographed entirely in your bed(room). The second is, lazy sunday sessions are more of a mini session – shorter session time and fewer images shown in your gallery. The concept is simple: a lazy morning at home with the just the kids or the whole family, everyone can be in their pj’s and the kids are snuggled into your bed. Messed up blankets and bedhead – the whole thing. The beauty of these sessions is they could be for almost any type of session. I would love to see some maternity, newborn, toddler and child sessions during these sessions. (How wonderful would Mommy & baby sessions be?!) The images we create would be different than many images you see in my portfolio currently – that’s the idea! Let’s create something new and wonderful.
Availability for these specific sessions is LIMITED. If the concept isn’t awesome enough, book your lazy sunday session before June 29th and the creative fee is extra awesome too – $125. Your session may take place at any point during 2010, but the session must be booked and secured with the creative fee on or before June 29th.
the session includes:
+ To inquire, simply use the contact section on the main web site. Please mention that you are interested in a lazy sunday session. (Please include your due date if you are looking for maternity/newborn sessions). You will be sent all the important details you will need and we will answer any questions you may have!

Please Note:
- The creative fee is due in full before JUNE 29th 2010 to secure your session spot.
- Contrary to the name, the lazy sunday sessions do not need to take place on a sunday. However, as a natural light photographer I do require all sessions take place during daylight hours. Your bed(room) **must** have a decent amount of natural light to ensure a successful session. If you aren’t sure about your light or space, please contact us to discuss further.
- The concept of the lazy sunday sessions is firm. If you do not wish to have your bed(room) photographed, than this may not be the session for you. We would still love to still hear from you and perhaps book a studio session!
- The images created will be different than many you see in my current portfolio. (IE. sleeping newborn curled and “posed”). When you contact us we will discuss further to see what session option is best for you.
- The creative fee does not include any prints or products from your session, these are purchased separately within your 7 day viewing/ordering period.
- If you live outside Red Deer or Ponoka, please contact us for an additional travel quote.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

(The wonderful quote by Mary Jean Iron was found via the amazing Stephanie Beaty of Lifeography.)
You’re tea parties are much fancier.
You’re accessories are custom made (aka mama made), full of fabulous feathers and as unique as you are.
You play party games and surround yourself in flowers, like an untamed garden.
You laugh, dance and have a beautiful time with the loveliest of guests. You drink sparkling strawberry juice and raspberry herbal tea, eat blackberries covered in white chocolate, strawberries dipped in milk chocolate, grapes, raspberries, almond cookies, pink wafer cookies and pancakes with whipped cream! When you’re six life just becomes a little more fabulous.
My darling is six … not sure how that happened. My girls are turning into the most lovely people every year – every minute. I love them so much my heart could burst. Don’t worry my dears, mama was there too .. smiling behind the camera at my little fairies.

For anyone curious, decorating was (a bit time consuming but) super easy and I reused things I already had. I made dozens of tissue paper pom poms in different sizes and hung them at varying lengths with fishing line from the roof. For some time – for no particular reason – I have been saving the large amounts of paper that my canvas supplier packs my canvases with. With this paper I created the wall flowers by borrowing inspiration from Ruche’s Lookbook. I then hung some white flowey fabrics from the roof and used an old lace table cloth to make the table “tent”. From the lace tent, I strung some daisys one fishing line to dangle above the table. My daughter’s tea set was made of unique china tea cups I have been collecting from various second hand stores. Some hand picked flowers from the local flowers shop were the beautiful finishing touch! (Lots of Baby’s Breathe and other “filler” flowers combined with a couple choice blooms made for a cost effective table scape – only about $30). Each of our beautiful guests got to take home a little bunch of flowers as a thank-you-for-coming gift as well.
I much prefer parties like this with fruit and pancakes instead of pizza and chips, real flowers instead of rubber balloons. It’s much more organic and lovely, instead of so commercial and plastic. I hope my girls will grow up feeling the same way.

From feisty girls come strong, independent women. They will become fearless leaders and shining stars, risk takers and magic makers. They will do extraordinary things and become extraordinary people. Dear child, you will be amazing.

In twenty one days, I will be one year older. I think if anyone asks me if I “feel any older”, this year the answer might be yes. It’s one of those birthdays for me … and don’t ask which one because I know some of you may laugh at me for reflecting upon my age. LOL!
I have seen so much beauty. I have experienced so many extraordinary moments. I am grateful for this life. So grateful.

I am ever so grateful to meet such lovely new people. Babies are fabulous.

When you look at your new baby, what will you remember? I hope more than anything that I will be able to remember the small things — because those are the ones that often slip from memory. I want to remember the way their hair fell around their ear or how their little toes would curl up when you touched the bottom of their foot. I want to remember the soft fuzz on their cheek and how their lips would pucker when they slept. I want to remember how the world melted away when I took the time to sit and stare in awe at this amazing new person. They are pure hope and true possibility.

Ahhh — now this baby girl has quite the strong spirit! Mommy and Daddy have a very independent lady on their hands here and I just love her! She made us work and earn every image we got of her. She has no doubt, given her Mama a story to tell when she looks back at these images for sure! I also had the pleasure of photographing her Mama’s Maternity Photography Session back in May.
