a few brief notes to begin

It would be my absolute pleasure to work with you & your beautiful family. When you choose to reserve your session I will provide you with much more information to help you best prepare, but for now please find a few brief notes below.

– Rates –

If you are interested in rates & booking information please contact the studio by using the provided contact form to inquire.

– Maternity & Newborn Sessions –

Maternity sessions are best photographed around 32-36 weeks, while newborn sessions are “penciled” in based on your due date. A firm date is then scheduled once baby has arrived (sometime within 14 days of baby’s date of birth). I recommend reserving both your maternity & newborn sessions sometime in your second trimester to ensure your session spots & to prepare without rush.

– Reserving Your Session –

Reserving your session spot(s) early is highly recommended. In-studio sessions tend to book months in advance and my 2012 schedule will see me traveling Canada & the US throughout the year. This means that my schedule is quite limited for full signature sessions. When we get you booked in nice & early I will also be able to send you some additional session information — just some helpful little session notes to guide you.

– 2012 Studio Events –

What a beautiful & full year 2012 is shaping up to be! We are planning some really wonderful events at the studio, including a small number of mini sessions! Keep an eye out for an announcement on dates; you can watch for details on the facebook page, twitter and blog as most events will be announced there first.

Fine art, nature, beauty & inspiration are going to woven throughout the studio this coming year. As many who have been here can attest; our little unassuming studio is a breathe of air, a place for beauty and defintely worth a visit. ox.

– Travel –

I am so grateful that my humble space has earned the distinct reputation of being a destination studio, as I welcome beautiful families from all over Alberta & BC. While my natural light studio is located downtown Red Deer, I do also offer travel sessions where I come to you; Calgary, Toronto, Australia or beyond.

– My Work –

My newborn work can be found both online as well as  in print. Online you can find my images & words on numerous industry inspiration resources, blogs & forums such as Bloom & The Creative Mama, as well as Mom-centered knowledge resources such as Babble. In print my imagery has been featured commercially for JadarHus in Norway, in an ad campaign with a focus on “new life”; as well as — and probably my true greatest honor — featured in long term canvas displays in several local businesses including the wonderful Babycakes Cupcakery. With noted international acclaim from both clients & peers, I have also been given beautiful opportunities to teach industry professionals around the world my approach to newborn photography. While remaining very selective in my teaching schedule, in years past I have been honored to teach in beautiful Australia, seen my NEWBORN mentoring guide ship worldwide & my 2012 schedule will see me traveling to select US & Canadian destinations (details released soon).
