– What –
NEWBORN is an ongoing series of video and written word for photographers which explores my personal approach to capturing the wonder of newborn babies. I have decided to separate and name each section a “chapter” as I envision NEWBORN to be a evolving project that has the potential to expand into a series. The next chapter in the series will be determined by the feedback from the previous chapter. Although the timeline for future chapters is not defined, this will provide a very unique way to help customize the content to exactly what your looking for, creating an organic evolution and unraveling. Please think of chapter one as a stepping stone. While I will not be able to address every individual’s potential questions in a single chapter, the feedback will lay the groundwork for future chapters. NEWBORN is not a “how to” series on baby posing, running a baby photography business or even a typical online workshop; NEWBORN is an exploration of the basics of what I do and why I do it. I want to offer a piece of my story, style and heart to guide and encourage you to find your own path.
– Who –
This series is for those who seek guidance in the area of newborn photography or are simply curious to see my process and hear more about my philosophies. I believe photographers of all skill levels can find much value and benefit. I do not speak in overly technical terms and I write in a way that can be easily understood by everyone. This series is just the thing for someone brand new to the world of newborn photography, looking for guidance and figuring out where they fit in. At the same time for those who are more established in their business, it could be a personal confirmation and comfort that they are on the right path. Those all important A-HA moments can come simply from watching another person move and operate during a session. The feedback I have received from photographers around the world has been simply amazing.
